ECHO MOUNTAIN Posted by spiana 11/30/2008 In the late 1800's, in the foothills above Pasadena and Altadena, was a resort with a small train that took people up the mountain to the Hotel. There's nothing left now but the building's foundation and some steel cogs from the railway, but it is a great hike up the mountain to see the remnants of a whole other era of Los Angeles history.
